Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Malaga.today ("the site", "we", "us"). By using the site you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the site.

1. What the site is

Malaga.today is a curated directory of hospitality Venues (Restaurants, Cafés, Bars, Hotels) and community Events an der Costa del Sol. Most of the directory comes from public OpenStreetMap data, enriched with photos, stories, opening hours, and contact details contributed by venue owners and our editors.

2. What you can do

• Search for Venues by name, town, cuisine, or tag
• View venue profiles and Events on any device
• Claim your business listing and edit your profile (paid plan required)

3. What you cannot do

• Scrape the site at scale without written permission
• Use the directory to send unsolicited marketing messages to Venues
• Submit false information about a venue you don't represent
• Attempt to bypass our security or access controls
• Use the site content to train commercial AI models (see our robots.txt)

4. Venue data accuracy

We work hard to keep venue information accurate. OpenStreetMap data carries its own license (ODbL). Photos are uploaded by owners or contributors. If you spot something wrong, use the report link on the venue profile. We update the directory continuously but make no warranty that any specific venue is still open or operating at any given time.

5. Claimed profiles and paid plans

Venue owners can claim their profile and edit photos, hours, story, and contact details. Paid plans are billed through PayPal Subscriptions.

5.1 Price source

The prices of every plan (Free, Multi, Multi Business, Custom) are published on the /pricing page and stored in the source file data/i18n/pricing.json alongside its 10 locale variants. That file is the single source of truth, the prices cannot be changed in any other place. Currency is Euros (€). Prices include the applicable VAT rate for Spain at the moment of invoicing.

5.2 Renewal

Paid plans renew automatically each month, starting on the day of the first subscription charge, unless you cancel before the renewal date. We will notify you by email a reasonable time (at least 7 days) before any auto-renewal.

5.3 Cancellation

You can cancel your paid plan at any time from your dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the then-current billing month: you keep your paid features until that date, and the next charge is not made. We do not pro-rate partial months or refund the unused portion. After cancellation, your profile returns to its unclaimed-or-free state; the photos and story you uploaded remain in our archive but are no longer visible in the public directory.

6. Limitation of liability

The site is provided as-is. We are not responsible for the quality, safety, or accuracy of any venue or event listed. Always check directly with the venue before relying on the listing. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the site.

7. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be flagged with a date stamp above. Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Spain. Disputes are subject to the courts of Málaga.
