Cookie policy
Last updated: 27 September 2026
This page lists every cookie, localStorage key, and third-party tracking script actually set by www.Malaga.today. We use a single consent banner that controls every category below. You can change your choices any time via the Informasjonskapsler link in the site footer.
1. Storage we set on this domain
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
mt_theme |
Cookie + localStorage | Remembers your chosen colour scheme (light / dark) so the next page load matches your preference. | 365 days |
mt_locale / mt_lang |
Cookie + localStorage | Remembers your preferred display language (en, es, de, fr, …) across visits. | 365 days |
mt_consent |
localStorage | Stores the consent decision you make in the cookie banner (which categories are accepted / denied). Controls loading of analytics scripts below. | 365 days |
mt.lastGeo |
localStorage | Stores the last geolocation result for the "venues near me" feature, so we do not re-ask the browser for a fresh GPS fix on every reload. Contains latitude, longitude, and timestamp; never leaves your device. | 365 days |
mt_lists_v2 |
localStorage | Stores the "save for later" venue list on each device. Anonymous; never sent to the server. | 365 days |
2. Third-party scripts (loaded only after consent)
| Provider | Script | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google Tag Manager | GTM-W8NF4BJS | Hosts the Google tags and the consent default / update API. Does not set any cookies until it dispatches the configured tags (currently: GA4 page-view, see below). | n/a |
| Google Analytics 4 (via GTM) | Google tagging (consent-gated) | Counts anonymous page-views and screen widths so we know which pages of the directory are used. IP anonymisation is on. Aggregated, not personal. | Up to 13 months (GA4 default) |
| Microsoft Clarity (via GTM) | clarity.ms (consent-gated) | Records anonymised session replays so we can see which parts of the directory cause friction. The replay excludes form inputs and any field you fill out. | Up to 365 days |
3. What is NOT set
- No advertising cookies.
- No Facebook, TikTok, or other social-network tracking pixels, social-share buttons open in a new window and do not embed the social network's iframe.
- No third-party session-replay hotjar or fullstory scripts.
4. How to control these
Open Informasjonskapsler at the bottom of any page to change which categories load. You can also delete our storage and block our scripts at the browser level: see your browser's "Cookies and site data" settings; the relevant URLs are this domain plus *.google-analytics.com, *.googletagmanager.com, and *.clarity.ms.
5. Changes to this policy
We update this page when we add or remove any storage or script. The "last updated" date above reflects that. Material changes are also announced on the consent banner when you next visit.
