Tapas is a Málaga institution, but quality varies. We rank the venues whose data we have actually verified — phone, address, hours — so you can confirm before you walk in.
See all tapas bars in Málaga verified venues in the full directory — this page is a focused top 10.
How this list is built
Every venue on this list was re-checked against our own data in the last 30 days. We rank by a single formula: Google rating × log(review count), plus a small bonus for each verifiable field (phone, address, opening hours). The formula weights signal by sample size, so 4.7 × 2,400 reviews beats 4.9 × 12 reviews. Paid plans do not change rank.
- Ranked by rating × log(review count) — sample size weighted, not just star average
- 2-3 checkable facts per venue (open hours, rating + review count, phone, address) — drawn from each venue's own page
- No paid placement, no editor picks, no traffic boost — the formula is the same for every venue

How often is this ranking updated?
The data behind every fact is re-verified monthly. The ranking recomputes whenever a venue's verified-data score changes.
Why aren't some famous bars on the list?
They may not have a verified page in our database yet. We rank only venues whose hours, phone, and address we have independently re-checked.
